Health Savings Account

A health savings account, or HSA, is an account that’s funded with pre-tax contributions from your paycheck and used to cover health-related expenses.

An HSA is like a savings account, but for health care expenses. You can invest your HSA funds, roll them over from year to year, and use them to pay for costs associated with medical, dental, or vision care, prescriptions, and other health-related needs.

Unlike a flexible spending account, an HSA’s funds roll over from year to year and are yours to keep, even if you leave Learning Care Group!

The Health Savings Account is associated with enrollment in the Aetna Savers Plan. You can only elect the HSA with Aetna Savers enrollment.

IRS Limits

Employee-Only coverage:

$3,600

Family coverage:

$7,200

Catch-up Contributions (for those aged 55+):

$1,000

This is the total amount that can be contributed to your HSA annually.

Flexible Spending Accounts

You can elect to have a portion of your paycheck contributed pre-tax to a flexible spending account (FSA) to pay for qualified healthcare or dependent care expenses.

If you currently are enrolled for FSA for 2020 and do not re-elect or select HSA instead for 2021, you are not eligible for the $500 carryover. Enrollment in the FSA is required to have the carryover option available.

Health Care FSA

Helps you pay for expenses such as co-payments, medical, dental, and vision.

Annual Contribution Limit:

$2,750

Rollover:

None

Dependent Care FSA

Helps you pay for expenses such as day care, preschool, and elder care.

Annual Contribution Limit:
